Prepare the inking system.
- Put the correct ink in the correct fountain.
- Adjust the ink fountain keys from the control panel.
- Adjust the ink ductor dwell from the control panel.
- Turn on the ink form rollers.

The ink fountain keys (resembling piano keys) are controlled by stepping
motors. This allows each key to be moved independently of the rest by
a set amount.
