Changing
the paper size or thickness causes multiple adjustments for the operators
to make.
Fortunately, these adjustments are all done at the control panel.
Once the sheet stack is loaded into the press the adjustment to the following
components are:
Sheet steadiers, pile height regulator, and side
guide - insures the sheets are properly stacked and aligned.
Separator brushes and fingers - prevents “double
sheeting” where multiple sheets are fed at the same time.
Rear pickup suckers and forwarding suckers - picks
up the individual sheets of paper.
Air blast nozzles - flutters up and separates
the sheet of paper from the stack.
