• Check the plates for accuracy.
• Set the sheet handling mechanism.
• Pack and mount the plates.
• Check and prepare new blankets if necessary.
• Prepare the dampening system.
• Prepare the inking system.
• Prepare the makeready books.
• Make trial impressions.
• Examine the trial impressions.
• Make any necessary adjustments.
